From Fear to Firelight

A year ago, I couldn’t recognize the person in the mirror. I had lost my job, my confidence, and the sense of who I was. Every day felt like walking through fog—until one evening, I picked up a journal and simply wrote, “I want to feel alive again.”

That one sentence changed everything. I started writing every day, slowly unpacking the pain and confusion. Through the process, I realized I had spent years chasing a version of success that wasn’t mine. I wasn’t broken—I was buried.

I began painting again, something I hadn’t done since college. I joined a local art circle, found my voice in colors and canvas, and eventually hosted my first community exhibit. The fear that once held me back turned into the fire that now fuels my creativity.

Today, I stand rooted in purpose, not perfection. I’ve learned that change is not something to fear—it’s the invitation to begin again.

If you’re reading this and you’re in your “fog,” know this: your light is not gone—it’s waiting for you to turn toward it.
